Hundreds of people were at the Old Gbewaa Palace to attend Yaa-Naa's funeral
Vice President Alhaji, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, attended Thursday the last funeral service of the late Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II.
While attending the funeral of the late Yaa-Naa Mahamadu Abdulai IV, he joined hundreds of people from all walks of life at Old Gbewaa Palace in Yendi County to witness this gigantic event.
This political demonstration of the vice president reaffirmed the neutrality of the government in the implementation of the final roadmap for the restoration of peace in the state of Dagbang.
Northern Regional Minister Salifu Sae-ed, National Security Minister Albert Kandapah, Minister of Chiefdom and Religious Affairs Kofi Dzamesi, Inspector General of Police David Asante Apietu and D & ## ### 39 other prominent government figures were present.

The Abudu family expressed disappointment with the conduct of lawmakers and urged the well-meaning Dagomba to guard against divisional politicians.
Moreover, the deputies of Dagbang's new patriotic ruling party were there to demonstrate their spirit of belonging to all the Dagombas.
Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II
The late Yaa-Naa Yakubu II was born in August 1945 in Sagnarigu, a suburb of Tamale.
His father was Andani Mahama, king of Dagbang from 1968 to 1969, and his mother, Zenabu Mahama, from Savelugu.
The late King Dagbang, Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II, led the area from 1974 until his death on March 27, 2002.
He left 103 children with Kampakuya-Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani as the first son.
His death intensified the quarrel between the Abudus and Andanis, who have been arguing since time immemorial about the succession of the Dagbon Namship.
An eminent Three-member Mediation Committee, led by Asantehene Osei Tutu II, was set up to permanently resolve the impbade in the chieftaincy.
