Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Executive Member of the NPP
A prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, was angered by some Ghanaians as a result of her tweet that sought to compare the number of factories built by Ghana's first president , Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, to those of Akufo-Addo. the led government built under the project "A district, a factory".
Mr. Asare Otchere-Darko on Thursday posted a tweet that said, "How many factories did the great Osagyefuo build in nine years? How many people are built under 1D1F? Answer in numbers only please.
But the response of some tweeps was punctuated by insults, with some suggesting it was "illogical", "reckless" and "shameful" for the dedicated PNP member to compare the two administrations.
The "One District, One Factory" program aims to create at least one plant or enterprise in each of Ghana's 216 districts to create economic growth poles that can accelerate the development of these regions and create jobs. for teeming youth.
This policy aims to transform the structure of the economy from a structure dependent on the production and export of raw materials to a value-added industrialized economy, mainly driven by the private sector.
Some of the public are not very satisfied with the speed with which the government keeps its promises and others, to the extent that they expressed their greatest disappointment with the state of the situation.
The tweet of Asare Otchere-Darko was perhaps the least hoped.

Ask your government useless. Who have a 1D1F policy and a planting policy for food and employment. The Komenda sugar factory is ideal, it needs raw materials such as sugar cane. If this policy can not run komenda, then we have men as slogan is useless.
