Gabby Okeyere Darko Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Executive Member of the NPP

A prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, was angered by some Ghanaians as a result of her tweet that sought to compare the number of factories built by Ghana's first president , Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, to those of Akufo-Addo. the led government built under the project "A district, a factory".

Mr. Asare Otchere-Darko on Thursday posted a tweet that said, "How many factories did the great Osagyefuo build in nine years? How many people are built under 1D1F? Answer in numbers only please.

But the response of some tweeps was punctuated by insults, with some suggesting it was "illogical", "reckless" and "shameful" for the dedicated PNP member to compare the two administrations.

The "One District, One Factory" program aims to create at least one plant or enterprise in each of Ghana's 216 districts to create economic growth poles that can accelerate the development of these regions and create jobs. for teeming youth.

This policy aims to transform the structure of the economy from a structure dependent on the production and export of raw materials to a value-added industrialized economy, mainly driven by the private sector.

Some of the public are not very satisfied with the speed with which the government keeps its promises and others, to the extent that they expressed their greatest disappointment with the state of the situation.

The tweet of Asare Otchere-Darko was perhaps the least hoped.

Here are some of their reactions

Gabby is coming back this afternoon. Controversial. Do not choke me during my lunch. How many of your 1 districts 1 ponds is equal to the Akosombo Dam? You do renovation and change of private factories and think that you are building factories.

CIA agents, nation destroyers and CIA traitors in Danquah-Busia will not attempt to compare their dysfunctional government in Osagyefo with Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Which factory under 1D1F was built and still works? Do not tell me those built by others when your uncle ordered

The factories built in the 1D1F are only seen by the men of the nuclear power station. The day of judgment is waiting for you politicians

We have graduate engineers working under NABCO, working in hospitals as archives managers.
How is it that the komenda sugar and the other technical services of the State are still not in good condition?
Use us engineers, in the NABCO program to revive this industry.
IDIF is a good company.

This guy from Gabby has no respect. Instead of comparing your achievements to those of Dr. Liman and the PNP, he quickly goes to the Founder of the nation. pic.twitter.com/YMWyrMPs6y

This is not a step to provide better communication that you claim our party does not do. Stop comparing and spreading the good work you like

– M A J O Y ???????? (@ lifeofAbdul1) July 18, 2019

Who do you ask How can we know the number of factories built under 1D1F? Your Ministry of Information or perhaps your Ministry of Commerce and Industry should leave this information with concrete evidence.

– Adjei Mensah (@ Adjeimensahs) July 18, 2019

Gourmet Bastards
These ponds you even built calling dams
God will judge you all
And the 1D1F did not see any
U paint old buildings of private companies and call them factories while there are unfinished schools and others that need to focus ????

How much was borrowed in the 50s and 60s and how much was borrowed in the 2000s? Hypocrisy is the virus in which we, Africans, enjoy your evening, sir

– solomonofficial1 (@ SolomonOfficia1) July 18, 2019

Ask your government useless. Who have a 1D1F policy and a planting policy for food and employment. The Komenda sugar factory is ideal, it needs raw materials such as sugar cane. If this policy can not run komenda, then we have men as slogan is useless.

– Seth Afosah (@SAfosah) July 18, 2019

Osagyefo has not hesitated to order Chinese factories and take credit for them. Absolute hogwash!

– Cedic Kumate (@gazellelion) July 18, 2019

Oh my God. Want to compare the greatest African of the 21st century to this "I am not Akufo-Addo"? Do you not fear God?

– Scholae ???????? (@Ischolae) July 18, 2019

Stop lying, sir, you have never built a factory, we know what you are doing to order Chinese companies. We are tired of enjoying your last year as such. We Ghanaians are awake now we will not allow any politician to accompany us

– Malenzy ???????????????? (@ mariam65692170) July 18, 2019

I learned that your uncle would commission the new indomie factory built at Tema by the end of the month. kindly add it to your 1D1F project

– Awotwe-Bissue (@ AtoKwamena4321) July 18, 2019

This man does not have the country in mind but he is so close to the seat of government. The country can only flourish as it converts its resources through state-owned factories into profits in search of finished products ….. no Chinese products and private

– Nungua Amoosha (@la_borketey) July 18, 2019

@ GabbyDarko Whatever you do, you can NEVER compare your ghost projects, dummies and scams to the legacy of Osagyefo, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. We know how much you are trying to distort the history of Ghana, but you have failed.

– iamMarcusMcKeon (@MarcusMcKeon) July 18, 2019

I thought you were aware, you did not build a single factory.
So, how the Enerst chemist and some existing factories are on the list.
Tell me when you have built the factory bolts and nuts.
Man without shame

– Takeover Kanawuri ???????????????????????????????? (@Kanawuri) July 18, 2019

This guy always invites anger to the government. SMH @onkross he's taking you guys to the opposition

– Saeed Abdul Hafiz (@PmCasford) July 18, 2019

This policy of comparison is what kills our growth. The idea of building a nation is to rely on the efforts of everyone, but it is obvious that the quest for glory is always blind. May God help us!!

– Gina A. Amedeka (@G_Amedeka) July 18, 2019

In this case, Gabby will be better able to tell some of us who were not born at the time and little data available at that time. With 1D1F, the story is the same: little information on statistics provided by mins. of information, catch my drift?
