Gregory Afoko is accused of the murder of former NPP president of the Upper East Upper Region
Mr. Gregory Afoko, the man accused of the murder of Mr. Adams Mahama, former regional president of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of the Upper East Region, came down yesterday against a police prosecutor near a court of the District of Accra, filed MyNewsGh.com.
He accused him of deliberately polishing lies and embellishing them simply to sentence him to prison, wondering what his motivation was to engage in such a path.
A livid accused also blamed the Ghanaian police for dishonesty in carrying out his duties by accumulating false accusations, as he had actually committed the act while he was being charged. they themselves brought 14 witnesses who did not all prove the charge.
On Monday, January 28, 2019, the Attorney General filed a "nolle prosequi", which corresponds to a decline in interest in the case, and then arrested the suspect again so that he is charged with sides of an Alangde Asabke as a result of his arrest last weekend.
For his first court appearance, Gregory Afoko became furious and while he was caught in his vehicle, he was heard shouting: "This man was there, 14 witnesses withdrew and you are still trying to polish these lies. They are mean … I did not do anything. I do not intend with this boy to do anything. Why are you treating me like that … it's bad? You can treat humans like this. Be honest with yourself this country … the police, be honest, you lie. Stop the lies. Am I killing Adams to get his pants or shirt? Why do you like to twist the story … Oh Ghana it's a shame ".
Meanwhile, the family described the state's latest gesture as a travesty of justice given the fact that the accused has served an unjustifiable sentence for almost four (4) years.
