The Dead Man (whose real name is Mark Callaway) was seen as a lifer at WWE, dating back to the days of the Monday Night War with WCW. But Taker is in a different place in life and it's a new and brave world, and swearing in to Vince McMahon is not necessarily the best way to make money in this world.

There is not enough character to give Dave Meltzer a break from a recent Wrestling Observer Radio show:

"You know, he used to protect that gadget and he did not get a lot of public appearances, but now he's looking for public appearances, so I do not know what the relationship is with WWE."

The observer also recently reported that WWE had not scheduled a match with the funeral WrestleMania this year for the first time since an injury prevented him from WrestleMania 2000.

This may not be serious, or it could be a huge one. It's probably somewhere in between. We will see. But until we hear about an induction to the Hall of Fame, or the Phenom reappear again Gross or Smack downDo not expect rumors about your future to rest in peace.
