Andy Osei Okrah spoke at the 10th Conference on Transformational Leadership of Young Professionals
Andy Osei Okrah, founder of the Young Professionals and Youth Coalition (YPYC), a non-governmental organization (NGO) and a network of young entrepreneurs, challenged young people to position themselves for the transformation of Ghana.
He added that it was important that young people seize every available opportunity to build their capacity, as this would enable them to acquire the essential skills to transform the country.
Mr. Osei did this at the launch of the 10th Conference on Transformational Young Professionals Leadership and Young Model Awards in 2019 on "Strategic Positioning of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs for Ghana's Transformation" in Accra.
Transformation Summit brings together entrepreneurs, universities, job seekers and students to demonstrate YPYC's commitment to convince youth to become a powerful force for the transformational leadership needed in Ghana and Africa .
He said the Transformation Summit had given young entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to appreciate the current state of capacity building and allowed them to share their experiences and challenges on the belief that they were strategically placed as agents of change, able to transform Ghana into an advanced technology economy.
"Youth development must be taken seriously, devoid of politics, rhetoric and a deliberate, structured and intentional plan, as well as a policy to position them on their business acumen, their access to capital free and their technical ability to compete with their contemporaries on the world stage "& # 39; he said.
He challenged young people to avoid greed, apathy and all social vices, adding that "when we do, we can position ourselves strategically as young leaders and entrepreneurs for Ghana's rapid transformation."
