A young Ghanaian engineer based in the United States, Andrew Amuna, has died.

He allegedly drowned in the Granite Point Snake River near Pullman County, Washington, United States.

The young engineer was first posted by journalist Israel Laryea, as he celebrated his feat.

“Yes that’s right. Andrew Amuna, 27, is no longer. The young Ghanaian engineer drowned in the Granite Point Snake River, near Pullman County, Washington, USA , where he had joined a colleague on a fishing expedition on Saturday afternoon, ”reports Pullman Radio.

According to the radio station report, Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene west of Pullman around 4:30 p.m.

The 911 caller reported that the man was missing after being in the water near the shore.
Authorities searched the water in boats and jet skis before calling the dive team from the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office.

Divers located the deceased male in 9 feet of water about 10 feet from shore.

Just a week ago, Andy left North Carolina for Washington State after being transferred by the company he works with, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.

The body was taken to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday July 26 for an autopsy, July 27.
