The young Liverpool, Herbie Kane, on loan to Doncaster Rovers, could miss the rest of the season, as a groin injury threatens to derail the promising midfielder Ligue 1 campaign.
The 20-year-old returned from his loan agreement to sign a new contract with the Reds in December before returning to Doncaster for the remainder of the season.
Kane flourished with regular first-team football, scoring seven goals and adding nine badists for League One.
However, the decisive campaign was hampered by groin troubles, and coach Grant McCann announced that the midfielder would be out six weeks after the Rovers' 4-0 defeat at Luton Town on Saturday .
