He urged new MMDCE candidates to reach out to their colleagues who were unable to make the final list in order to create a strong bond to break the 8 for the party in 2024.

Mr Haruna called on aggrieved youth groups affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to engage in vandalism if they run into problems if their candidate has not been chosen by the president.

He, however, condemned the destruction of party properties in the Chereponi district yesterday Sunday by some angry young people who saw their favorite candidate rejected.

He congratulated the candidate for the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, the Hon. Sule Salifu, but was quick to add that the candidate has a lot of work, including the issue of sanitation in the metropolis.

Ms. Mariam Kelly took the opportunity to thank President Akufo-Addo for appointing Kwabena Agyei Agypong as Managing Director of Ghana Ports and Harbor.

She further reasoned with Akufo Addo’s candidate for the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, the Hon. Sule Salifu, declaring that he is a true party man.
