New extended trailer for Ted Bundy's next biopic Extremely nasty, incredibly bad and vile is here and it gave us serious chills.
Zac Efron plays the famous American serial killer and rapist, based on the fiction book written by former Bundy fiancee Elizabeth Kloepfer.
As in the previous trailer of the film, this clip highlights the portrait of the villainous villain by the actor who seduces his victims with a charming facade.
The new trailer, however, delves deeper into Ted Bundy's dark personality when her ex-fiancée Elizabeth (Lily Collins) calls for burning responses about Bundy's evil deeds, asking, "Have you done these things, Ted? "
"All of this is going to end," says Bundy, to which she replies, "It will only end in the truth."
Extremely nasty, terribly mean and vile, indeed …
The film, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January, has sparked a lot of controversy. Some claimed that he "glorified" the murderer as a charming and attractive person.
In response, director Joe Berlinger At the time, he had said, "I think the idea of this story, that of making a film on Bundy, is synonymous with glorification for him is a very naive and unthinking reaction.
"If you really watch the film, the last thing we do is glorify it, it holds its due at the end, but we describe the experience of becoming a victim of this kind of psychopathic seduction."
The new biographical film marks Berlinger's second film on Bundy on Netflix, after the previous release of his real detective series Conversations with a killer: tapes of Ted Bundy.
Extremely nasty, incredibly bad and vile will be available on Netflix and some theaters on Friday, May 3rd.
