LAIKA is at the top of its game when it comes to telling stories with stop-motion animation. We are delighted with what they are preparing next. This year, the animation studio has all the ambitious adventure that will take us around the world with a Bigfoot named Susan.
Missing link follows the last Bigfoot of his kind (Zach Galifianakis) when he makes a deal with explorer Sir Lionel Frost (Hugh Jackman) to find his Yeti cousins in the Shangri-La Valley. It is a journey that will travel the world and make them meet all kinds of people along the way, which will make it a very bizarre adventure. You can watch the new trailer now.

It's much more promising than the first trailer that was released in November. Completed by Paul Simon's use of Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down" in the schoolyard, she has the impression of an animated film by Wes Anderson, including a similar, dry and bizarre humor. That seems to me perfectly correct.
But what is even more satisfying is that the quality of the stop-motion animation continues to improve over time. The landscapes here are absolutely beautiful and the scenery of these characters is detailed and fascinating.
On top of that, the voice expressed could not be more perfect. The casting of Zach Galifianakis as Polished Bigfoot and Hugh Jackman as a confident explorer could prove to be a great duo. As for the rest of the distribution, it includes Zoe Saldana, Timothy Olyphant, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas, Amrita Acharia, and David Walliams.
Missing link is written and directed by Chris Butler, which has already given us the stop-motion greatness of LAIKA in the form of ParaNorman. The faithful captain of LAIKA, Travis Knight, was busy bumblebee while Missing link was still in production, hope there is still something special here.
Meet Mr. Link: 8 feet tall, 630 pounds, and covered in fur, but do not let his appearance fool you … he's funny, sweet and adorable, making him the most adorable legend in the world. Tired of living a lonely life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link recruits the intrepid explorer Sir Lionel Frost to guide him on a journey in search of his missing relatives in the legendary Shangri-La Valley. With adventurer Adelina Quinzaine, our intrepid trio of explorers is facing more than their share of perils as he travels to the four corners of the world to help their new friend.
Missing link arrives in theaters on April 12, 2019.
