Bale is undergoing harsh treatment from Real fans, which could suggest that he could be moving this summer, while United would be leading the race.
Zidane feared for the future of Basel after whistles were sent against the Welsh in his 2-1 win over Eibar.
He said at a press conference reported by marca.com: "We'll see [whether Bale will still be at the club next season]. Gareth is a Real Madrid player at two years of his contract. "
The Frenchman, who has won three of his four matches since returning as manager, added:
"We are not happy with the whistles, but the public comes to see that their team is doing well.
"There was a reaction and I still have that, the public knows that the season is over, we are playing to try to finish second."
Basel would figure prominently on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's search list this summer, but reports say that United would not be willing to face its wage demands.
