Real is 13 points behind the league leader, Barcelona, and was eliminated from the Champions League in the last leg of the 16th day by Ajax.
This led to questions about Zidane's choice to get things moving. President Florentino Perez is expected to provide significant support in the transfer market to make many staff changes.

The players performed ball possession exercises and tweaked their tactical play plan before welcoming Eibar, who was terribly upset by beating Real 3-0 in November.
The players Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale were all defeated for the session as winter conditions seized the Spanish capital.
The Zidane team then took part in shooting exercises before retiring to the locker room and calling a day later.
