"High Fidelity", an upcoming series starring Zoe Kravitz, has been moved from Disney + to Hulu, Variety has learned.

This decision comes just weeks after Disney acquired a majority stake in Hulu as part of Fox's $ 71 billion acquisition transaction. "High Fidelity" was initially on Disney's new series list, which is scheduled for launch in late 2019.

"Developing 'High Fidelity' with Zoe, Veronica, Sarah and the Midnight Radio team has been incredibly exciting and we want to make sure they're able to do the show they're considering because Disney + is committed to supporting our creative partners. To this end, as the creation of the series evolved, our Disney + team, along with ABC Signature, recognized that the show would be better suited to another platform. Given Disney's participation in Hulu, we are pleased that "High Fidelity" continues to be part of our extended family, "said Agnes Chu, Senior Vice President of Content at Disney +.

The series of 10 episodes is inspired by Nick Hornby's novel and the Touchstone movie of the same name. He reinvents history from the feminine point of view. Kravitz, who will produce in addition to starring, will play the ultimate music fan – a record store owner obsessed with pop culture and Top Five lists.

"We are on the moon to work with Zoe, Veronica and Sarah to offer viewers this new interpretation of a lasting story that has touched millions of people over the past two decades."
