President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo
President Nana Akufo-Addo expressed her satisfaction with the ability of her Government to approve the launching mandate for development projects for the various Zongo communities in Ghana.
In a message of solidarity addressed to the Islamic community during the prayer of Eid al-Fitr in 2019, the President welcomed the progress made by the Minister of Finance regarding the signing of 39, an opening mandate of the Minister of Downtown and Zongo Development to start working in the different communities of Zongo was concerned.
"I am pleased to announce that the Minister of Finance has signed a launching mandate to allow the Minister of Downtown Development and Zongo to start working for the various communities of Zongo with the development funds of Zongo allocated in the 2019 budget. " He stressed.
He said the result was part of his government's deliberate policy of promoting the development of the country's Zongo communities.
He also hoped that the rehabilitation of school buildings and the construction of new buildings, as well as the provision of desks in Islamic schools, would help solve some of the many problems that Zongo communities are facing.
Akufo-Addo then addressed his congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
"I congratulate the national Imam and the entire Muslim population of the world for tracing the path of hunger and fasting throughout the month."
He said that Eid al-Fitr is the manifestation of unity, solidarity and strengthening ties between Muslims.
