All subsidiaries under Zylofon Media have, since January 30, 2010, suspended their activities in accordance with a directive of the Office of fight against organized and economic crime (EOCO).
The directive concerns the problems of Zylofon's sister company, Menzgold, which led its chief executive, Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM1, to be declared wanted in Ghana. He is currently on trial in Dubai for another case.
Sammy Flex told Showbiz on Tuesday, February 12 that Zylofon Media had not stopped for good, contrary to what people were speculating.
"We were told to suspend operations for a while and resume them later. As we speak, the road is free to start operations soon. Soon we will start working and continue the good work for which Ghanaians know us, "he said.
He also stated that suspension of operations was in the interest of Zylofon Media.
"The heat around Menzgold and the attacks on one or two staff forced Zylofon Media to suspend operations and let things cool down. It was the right decision, especially for the safety of all staff, he said.
Sammy Flex was disappointed by the fact that some people wanted society to fall, claiming that Nana Appiah Mensah had done something great.
"It's unfortunate that some people are happy about what is happening instead of wishing the best for us. Zylofon Media is wonderfully well behaved during its two years of activity. to sign artists and give them attractive contracts to the Zylofon Fund, which provides funding to film producers to work with.
"I think NAM1 should be applauded for his good works instead of what is said about him. I do not think that Ghanaians have taken into account the number of people who will work at Zylofon Media and who will be unemployed in the event of permanent closure. " he said.
Sammy Flex took the opportunity to thank the players from the entertainment industry who supported them.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank some people who have continued to call and have given us hope that all is well. We are bouncing back, " Sammy said.
