Ghostbusters: Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are back for the new movie

Sigourney Weaver says she will resume her role as Dana Barrett in director Jason Reitman's upcoming film Ghostbusters – and her former co-stars Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd will join her!

In an interview with Parade Magazine, Weaver – who sings musician Dana Barrett, Peter Venkman's lover interest in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II – confirmed that she would come back for Reitman's film, previously described no restart or continue the previous restart of 2016.

"This is the next chapter of the original franchise.This is not a restart.What happened in the 80s happened in the 80s, and this is happening nowadays, "said Reitman, son of the director of the original films, Ivan, said earlier this year.

According to Parade, Weaver would reveal no details about the film except to confirm that she would play Dana and not a new character. "It'll be crazy to work with the guys again!" Said Weaver.
