Giancarlo Stanton of the Yankees casts a shadow over Marlins at the press conference of his spring training

The Yankees named Giancarlo Stanton spent the first eight years of his career in relative darkness with the Marlins. In his first season with the Yankees, the Bronx Bombers moved to ALDS. It was Stanton's first appearance in the playoffs, which did not escape him at his first press conference at the spring training of 2019:

Burn! Shadow!

The Marlins won 80 games in 2010, their highest total at the time of Stanton. They won 79 wins in 2016 and 77 in 2017 before toppling Stanton with Christian Yelich, Marcell Ozuna and a few others. In contrast, the Yankees have not broken their record since 1992, the year before the Marlins.

The phrase "night and day" certainly applies here. Stanton must have the impression of being released and this comes out with the smile of the video above.
