Giannis Antetokounmpo was active in recruiting Bogdan Bogdanovic to join the Milwaukee Bucks in a now infamous signing-and-trade proposal that all parties walked away from, according to a report from Sam Amick and Eric Nehm of The Athletic.
The Athletic reports that Antetokounmpo’s involvement was “widely known”.
Bogdanovic had a number of concerns even before word spread that the NBA would investigate the matter.
Sources close to Bogdanovic insist that there was no agreement on his part and that it was a communication breakdown. Bogdanovic was caught off guard when news broke on Tuesday shortly after 7 a.m. in Serbia that he would be joining the Bucks.
