Giannis Antetokounmpo’s favorite addition for the offseason was Bogdan Bogdanovic

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thanasis Antetokounmpo have kept in regular contact with Bogdan Bogdanovic over the past few months, sources told Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

They have spoken on the phone several times and in a few calls Giannis has expressed his desire to become Bogdanovic’s teammate.

“Giannis admired the harshness and boast of his fellow European,” Fischer told Fischer.

There was huge confidence within the Bucks that Antetokounmpo would sign the supermax when it emerged the team would trade for Jrue Holiday and also acquire Bogdanovic.

There has since been a categorical pullback in that confidence, even though Antetokounmpo ultimately accepts the franchise’s offer of a five-year, $ 228 million supermax extension, ”Fischer writes.

The first conversations with the Sacramento Kings centered around Eric Bledsoe and the No.24 pick. The Kings insisted that Donte DiVincenzo be included, just like the Indiana Pacers did with their talks with Victor Oladipo.

Bogdanovic has been heralded as Antetokoumpo’s favorite addition throughout the offseason.

Because the Bucks were using Bledsoe and George Hill’s contracts to acquire Holiday, they would be more limited in what they could offer Bogdanovic as part of a signing and trade.
