GM Giants Dave Gettleman defended the decision to use his first of two picks in the first round of quarterback Daniel Jones by insisting that two other teams would have drafted Jones if the Giants had been trying to wait for the number pick 17. But Gettleman did not publicly identify the teams.
In private, Gettleman or another Giants member told Ralph Vacchiano of SNY both teams. They are Denver and Washington.
The Broncos held the 10th overall, and Washington had the # 15 choice.
