Giants fire a fire after a victory of 18 rounds at 1 am and wake up angry neighbors

On Friday night, the San Francisco Giants defeated the Colorado Rockies 3-2 in an 18-game, 5-hour, 35-minute game that did not end until 1 am .

The Giants have anyway triggered a firework after the victory.

The few remaining fans at Oracle Park enjoyed the show, but a number of San Francisco residents who were woken up by the fireworks were less than pleased.

"BANGER SOMEONE?" someone wrote on the San Francisco Reddit page. "I'm trying to duckunph ahat the f-c's that noise."

"The Giants won an 18-run marathon game and, despite holding 2 games, they still promised a fireworks show," said one.

The Giants tweeted a video of the fireworks show with the following caption: "Current Time: 01:11", and a number of angry residents responded to the call.

"I love the win after 18 innings, but common sense and logic must prevail and decide NOT to fire fireworks at 1 am," wrote a user of Twitter. "Really, very bad decision."

However, a number of people defended the team's decision to fire a fire while it was 1 am.

"Imagine living at SF with good grace and complaining about the noise on a Friday night," wrote one person.

"I hope they do it every night! F the techies !!" wrote someone else.

The Giants announced that the 18-round match was a record for the longest home game in the history of the franchise. The other was a 1-0 defeat against the Diamondbacks in 2001.
