Giants sign Rutgers former scorer Ryan Anderson

Ryan Anderson has already had a successful season in northern New Jersey. Will he have the chance to have another one?

The Giants signed on Sunday the former Rutger coach after a rookie minicamp try last week. Anderson played for the Scarlet Knights during the 2017 season as a graduate.

Before landing at Rutgers, the left – handed kicker played division II at Saginaw Valley State in his native Michigan and spent his junior and senior seasons at division III Olivet. For the Scarlet Knights, Anderson set the all-time average mark for the punting one season (44.4 yards per attempt).

The Giants have gone from the former bettor Brad Wing during the off season and traded for Riley Dixon, formerly of the Broncos. Maybe Anderson will host an internal competition while the team continues to research to improve their special teams.

Anderson tried for the Patriots last year.
