The Giants were openly trying to deal with Ryan Santoso, their strong-legged second kicker, and they eventually got a taker.
They traded Santoso to the Panthers for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2022.
The judge has gone out of his way in recent days to congratulate Santoso, saying he is one of the 32 best kickers around.
“We’re happy to have Graham (Gano), he’s a phenomenal kicker,” said Judge. “If we didn’t have Graham, this guy would be our kicker. I have a lot of confidence in him. ”
