Gigi debuted with the unique nickname in a very subtle way – adding “khai’s mom” to her Instagram bio on Jan.21.
The supermodel shared the news exactly four months after announcing their daughter’s arrival. “Our little girl is here healthy and beautiful,” Zayn wrote in a September 23 tweet. “Trying to put words into how I feel right now would be an impossible task.”
“The love I feel for this little human is beyond my comprehension,” he added. “I’m grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and grateful for the life we will have together x.”
Hours later, Gigi posted yet another glimpse of the couple’s daughter. “Our daughter joined us on earth this weekend and she has already changed our world,” wrote the 25-year-old. “So in love.”
In the months that followed, Gigi kept fans up to date on her motherhood experience, while honoring their pledge to privacy. Shortly after Khai was born, a source told E! News that Gigi and Zayn are planning to stay with their mother Yolanda Hadidthe Pennsylvania farm for the foreseeable future.
