The US-Palestinian model Gigi Hadid is being sued for a photo of ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik that she posted.
Photographer Robert O'Neil filed a lawsuit against the dummy of the Southern District of New York, alleging copyright infringement, reported E! New.
"This action stems from the unauthorized reproduction and public display by the defendant of a copyrighted photograph of the copyright of the English singer and songwriter Zayn Malik, owned and registered by O'Neil, a professional photographer based in New York, "said court documents.
The docs also claim that Hadid violated O'Neil's copyright by "reproducing and publicly displaying" the photo of the British Pakistano on his Instagram account.
"Gigi Hadid is not and has never been authorized, nor authorized, in any way, to reproduce, publicly display, distribute and / or use photography," the newspapers said.
To solve this problem, O'Neil wants Hadid, 24, who has not yet commented on the lawsuit, to declare that she has violated her copyrights by posting the photo.
Gigi Hadid reportedly left Zayn Malik
O'Neil also seeks "actual damages, gains or benefits of any kind arising from the defendant's breach of the plaintiff's photograph", or "statutory damages up to to $ 150,000 ".
Although she has not yet ruled on this particular case, Hadid made a public comment in October 2018 after being sued for publishing a photo of her since she had been deleted.
"For the paparazzi, I understand that it's so that you earn your living and I respect the fact that it's something that I have to accept with my work," wrote Hadid. "But there is a line. We are human beings, and sometimes it takes a lot of courage to interact with you because of the resentment I feel for the negative aspects of these experiences. "
Even though Malik and Hadid separated eight months after a prominent love affair, feelings remained months later. Malik tweeted that he loved Hadid in March. In April, he went on Twitter when his fans thought that angry tweets he had sent, about someone who was not "the person you said you were" talked about the model.
