‘Gilligan’s Island’ star Tina Louise reveals her sexiest co-star, qualities she looks for in a partner

Tina Louise is the last surviving actor of “Gilligan’s Island” and she recently revealed what she really thinks about the show’s main men.

Louise portrayed the glitzy Ginger Grant in the iconic television series that aired from 1964 to 1967 and in which Bob Denver played the main character. The actress apparently didn’t seem to have any hesitation when asked in a recent interview who she said was her sexiest co-star on the show.

Speaking to the New York Post in a new interview, Louise revealed, “It’s Jim [Backus]. “

“Jim was hilarious. Humor, honey,” she continued of the late actor, who played millionaire Thurston Howell III. “He was so funny and he used to go to the psychiatrist every day and tell me the news of the day… But in general he had a great sense of humor. He was adorable.”

The ’60s TV show also saw Bob Denver as Gilligan, Russell Johnson as the teacher, and Alan Hale Jr. as the skipper.

Louise has confirmed that she is currently living in New York. Although she said she shared her age with the outlet because she didn’t believe in letting a number dictate her life, she was quite open about the qualities she looks for in a potential mate if the right one. introduces himself.

“I’m open. I’m open. I’m open to life,” Louise said of her interest in dating.

She added: “He would be funny, would have a good heart and the money wouldn’t matter if we were stuck on an island.”

Louise last spoke to Fox News in December 2020 after the death of another of her “Gilligan” co-stars, Dawn Wells.

“I will always remember his kindness to me,” said Louise. “We shared the creation of a cultural monument that continued to bring comfort and smiles to people during this difficult time. I hope people will remember her as I do – always with a smile on her face. his face.”

Louise said in a 2019 interview with Closer every week that she loved how the sitcom “portrayed this great escape” in the aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the tragic assassination of President John F. Kennedy and in the midst of an escalating Vietnam War.
