After weeks of unsuccessful lawsuits, the Trump campaign suffered another heavy blow in a Thursday night Supreme Court ruling dismissing the campaign’s efforts to reverse the election results in Pennsylvania.
State GOP lawmakers on Friday also refused to “overthrow [the] Popular vote.”
Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal attorney, responded with a tweet Friday: “The Republican legislature has let America down. I’m ashamed of them. They completely misled the president and me. All of us Republicans let them know what we think about it. “

Giuliani’s tweet follows days of sometimes controversial hearings in several states where the Trump campaign claims the election was stolen.
Earlier this week, three Republicans in the state Senate and 29 House GOP members tabled a resolution calling on Governor Tom Wolfe to recall election results.
But after weeks of failed attempts to prove voter fraud and layoffs, Pennsylvania GOP leaders said enough on Friday.
Pro Tempore Senate Speaker Jake Corman and Majority Leader Kim Ward, teamed up with House Speaker Bryan Cutler and Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff, all Republicans, and released a joint statement on Friday declaring the resolution non-runner.
“The General Assembly does not have the authority to take action to overturn the popular vote and appoint our own list of presidential voters,” the joint statement said. “While we clearly recognize the need for legislative action to address the issues presented by the 2020 general election, some of the actions demanded by our residents would force us to violate the statutes and Constitution we fought for. so hard. ” Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s decision Thursday evening to dismiss Trump’s ally, Pennsylvania GOP Representative Mike Kelly called for the postal vote to be considered unconstitutional and therefore “not not confirm “all votes cast by mail, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
In Nevada, a judge on Friday rejected the latest attempt by the Trump campaign to claim electoral fraud, alleging 40,000 double votes and more than 1,500 votes by deceased people.
Justice James Russell said in his decision: “Reasonable doubt is based on reason and not on mere possibility.”
Giuliani pushed back Friday’s decision, telling Fox Business’s Lou Dobbs the judge “should assume the evidence is true.”
“He doesn’t have the capacity at this point to prove that it’s not true because he hasn’t really heard everything,” Giuliani added.
Russell had given Trump campaign attorney Jesse Binnall until 10 a.m. on Friday to submit all evidence supporting the campaign’s claims, which the Nevada GOP said on Twitter was in 20 filing cabinets.

Russell said he would not make a decision on the case until he saw all of the evidence, but after reviewing it he said in his ruling: ‘Based on this testimony, The Court finds that there is no credible or reliable evidence that the General 2020 Nevada election was affected by fraud. “
