Giuliani: "That would not have been a hindrance" if Trump had shot Mueller

"If he did, it would not have been a hindrance to justice because there were very good reasons to fire Mueller," Giuliani said during an interview. for "Fox News Sunday".

Giuliani argued that Mueller had a very "very questionable" team of lawyers.

"Mueller hired a staff in which he had people I would find very, very questionable as people who should investigate Donald Trump," Giuliani said.

Giuliani added that the survey could have been perceived as biased, which "would give you a good-faith reason to fire" Mueller.

Giuliani's remarks come after the release of Mueller's report last week, which details several cases of possible hindrance to justice by Trump.

The report says that in 2017, Trump had asked White House lawyer, Don McGahn, to remove Mueller. McGahn refused, according to the report, that he had decided "that he would resign rather than trigger what he saw as a potential Saturday night massacre".

Trump and his allies have already argued that Trump had the constitutional power to fire Mueller.
