You think I'd be in love with a brunette woman from around the world Star wars franchise first, but alas, I'm only a modest Stan Mara Jade. (She's red.) Talk with Weekly entertainment at the recent Disney D23 show, it seems like Mandalorian Host Jon Favreau is not opposed to incorporating European characters into the series. The director of Iron Man, and Happy Hogan himself, was very open about his work on The mandalorian and his involvement in the Star wars franchise. I trust him and his knowledge of all the nerdy things, because until now, Favreau has never done me wrong.
Well, he's not do not saying that it is possible. When EW asked him if Mara Jade or the great Admiral Thrawn (who already appeared in Disney's Star Wars Rebels animated TV show) could appear in The mandalorian, he has answered,
I do not want to talk about anything that can be fun for people to discover. We have conversations. Part of what's fun to see if we could merge the worlds of the original trilogy, the prequels, the sequels, The war of clones, and what was considered canon up to now and what has been considered part of Legends. I think this show offers the opportunity to bring all these elements, so whatever your taste Star wars Ice cream that you like, there will be something to enjoy. But you ask the right questions.
So, while they ask the right questions, I have a personal question to ask: does this mean that one day we will have another young Luke Skywalker story and that we will be able to see Luke and Mara Jade together? To be quite honest, Thrawn is fine – happy for Thrawn, let's hope he thrives – but I do not really care about him. I care about Mara Jade.
Star wars has a large catalog of characters to choose from which gives them an edge over other franchises. Just like in the Marvel film universe, simply saying that you are mounting a series around a character from the EU arouses the enthusiasm of his fans, mainly because we are ready to accept everything content on this very distant galaxy.
That said, I would prefer that Mara Jade be first featured in her own series rather than being a shocking character The mandalorian. And maybe it's just because I've loved her for years and others may not care about her, but she's one of the few female characters in Star wars who starts out as a Jedi and is instantly a tough guy outside of the typical trio's wife (whenever someone says that Star wars becomes too feminist, I like to emphasize that it is always two men to everyone a woman in the trios).
Anyway, I'm glad we're talking about Mara Jade, because for a while I felt I was screaming in the void around her, and I'd like to see what Mara Jade can do. play live. I am also available to play with her, Disney.
