Dylan Dreyer, who is pregnant with her third child, is in hospital after saying her waters had ruptured six weeks earlier.

“Just a little update because you won’t see me on @todayshow or @ 3rdhourtoday for a while,” TODAY meteorologist and 3rd hour co-host Tuesday morning wrote on Instagram. She posted a pair of photos of herself in the hospital, including one with her husband Brian Fichera.

“I lost my water on Sunday night and was hung up in the hospital. Our little guy can’t wait to come out and meet us! The doctors are watching us both closely and trying to keep him inside a little longer so that he gets stronger. All is well! I am in good hands and have the best person to keep me calm and comfortable.

Dylan, who is the mother of sons Calvin, 4, and Oliver, 1, remains optimistic about the delivery this week.

“Looks like we’re going to meet our youngest boy this week… 6 weeks earlier!” she wrote. “I guess he couldn’t bear to be left out of all the fun his brothers had!” We will gladly accept any additional prayers.

Dylan revealed today in May that she was pregnant, teasing the news with a fun cooking segment with Calvin and blowing his family on air with the announcement.

Dylan, who said in June that she and Brian had chosen a name, shared in 2019 that she miscarried while trying to have a second child and was battling secondary infertility.

“So many women are going through their own fertility issues, and I want to open the conversation to get us talking instead of sneaking into that baby chat room and endlessly scrolling through the comments hoping to bump into someone. one going through a situation similar to us, ”she wrote at the time.

Later in 2019, Dylan got pregnant and finally welcomed little Oliver in early 2020.

When she and Brian revealed earlier this year that they were expecting baby # 3, they said the trip was tough. They had tried to get pregnant with a third child for six months before concluding it was not in the stars.

“We were trying and it wasn’t really happening and we just gave up,” she said TODAY. “We were ready for the next phase.

Her doctor said she was in good health and encouraged them not to think too much about it.

“Of course, that’s what we did!” she said.
