Graham Glasgow, who is entering his second season at the Detroit Lions Center, has big goals in mind.

According to Justin Rogers of Detroit News, Glasgow aims to become the best center of the NFL.

"It's our goal at all to be the best at their posts, to do what they do," said Glasgow. "So, I would like to be the best center I can be."

Lions third-round pick in 2016, Glasgow moved downtown after spending his first two years in the guard. He has only taken the starting position at just six games in his rookie season and he has started every game since for Detroit, either as a goalkeeper or center.

The central position was quite deep in the league with many capable players assuming the tasks. Jason Kelce, Maurkice Pouncey, Alex Mack, Travis Frederick and Ryan Kalil have been used to All-Pro teams and Pro Bowl teams for the last six years. Rodney Hudson and Max Unger also participated in the discussions. Although Kalil and Unger have since retired, there are still many good centers in the league that Glasgow will need to outperform in order to gain recognition from the league.

Glasgow enters the final year of its Lions recruit contract this fall. An appearance in the Pro Bowl or better in 2019 could eventually lead to a better contract.

"I'll leave that to my agent and the organization," he said. "I'm not too worried about it. There is a lot of football to play and a lot of time to go before I really get into that kind of situation. "
