Savchenko denied the cheating rumors in a statement he released to E! News Saturday.
“While I will continue to respect my family’s privacy, I will not stand aside and allow false accusations and internet rumors to go unaddressed,” he began, continuing.
Savchenko clarified that his partnership with Stause “was not the reason” for the breakup, instead highlighting the existing issues within his marriage.
“Elena and I have had long standing issues in our marriage. It has been a lifelong situation between Elena and I coupled with bad timing,” he said, adding he was “saddened and disappointed” that Samodanova is not deprived of their separation any more.
On the day the couple announced they were separating, Stause told fans she was “saddened” to hear the news on her Instagram story.
The “Selling Sunset” star also responded to claims that her on-screen partnership with Savchenko played a role in the breakup.

In November 2019, Justin Hartley filed for divorce from Stause, ending their two-year marriage. The aftermath of the split unfolded in the third season of “Selling Sunset” and made the headlines for months.
The reality TV star, who was previously engaged to “Glee” star Matthew Morrison, also said that she and Savchenko, who were eliminated from the show on November 2, have “nothing more” than a “solid friendship of solidarity”.
