Can you believe it? Gmail launched 15 years ago today.

In honor of this event, the internet giant is proposing a new suite of smart tools, literally sending emails in the future.

Now you can create programmed messages and enjoy the suggested subject lines.

Scheduled messages allow you to create a draft e-mail to send at a later time. In other words, you can decide when your email will be delivered to the inbox of someone else.

This feature can be useful when you are talking about multiple time zones or contacting colleagues who have left work for the day.

"We realize that work can often be delayed outside of work hours, but it's important to consider downtime for everyone," says Jacob Bank, Director of Product Management at G Suite. "We want to facilitate respect for everyone's digital well-being."

To take advantage of this feature, once you have entered your email, click on the three dots to the right of the composition and select "Schedule Shipment" from the drop-down menu. The date and time options appear.

Smart Compose from Gmail is also getting a new look.

The email support feature that Google unveiled in May 2018 will now make "smarter" personalized suggestions for you. So, if you prefer to use slang in your greetings, this may suggest that. It may also suggest an e-mail based subject line that you have typed.

Google said that Smart Compose was preventing people from typing more than a billion characters each week since its introduction.

Smart Compose also supports multiple languages, including Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Support applies to all Android devices, as it was previously only available on Pixel 3.

It's unclear exactly when Smart Compose will hit iOS devices. Google said in a blog post only that Smart Compose would land on iOS "soon".
