We have some exciting new updates to share regarding the upcoming attack updates for Trainer Battles in Season 7 of the GO Battle League! These changes will be implemented on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7).
New Motion Leaf Storm
Leaf Storm is coming to Pokémon GO! For the first time, Leaf Storm will be available to select Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Leaf Storm is a powerful Grass The Charged Attack type will decrease your Pokémon attack stat after use. It can be learned by the following Pokémon –
We don’t have Leaf Storm stats yet, but we’ll update them once they’re added to the in-game master file.
Refund available for more Pokémon
More Pokémon will now be able to learn Dark attack type charged Payback. Until this update, only Machamp could learn Payback (now a Legacy Move), during its Community Day in 2020. The following Pokémon will now be able to learn Payback –

If you’re new to PVP, be sure to check out our Lazy Trainer Guide to PVP! We don’t have access to Leaf Storm’s stats yet, so we don’t know how meta-breaking that will be. Earning money could add depth to Pokémon that previously didn’t have access to a Dark charged attack type, especially if your opponent isn’t expecting it!
