Godzilla: the king of monsters do not hesitate to kill some of his greatest characters, whether they are human or kaiju. Specifically, Mothra unfortunately succumbs to the destructive power of King Ghidorah as he tries to save Godzilla from some misfortunes. The titanic butterfly gives its life to protect the king from kaiju, allowing Godzilla to take power and defeat Ghidorah, becoming the new titan king. Michael Dougherty, director of the film, however, said that things may not be as final for Mothra as the public does not believe.

Twitter account to explain that, even though Mothra is dead, the creature knows that she will come back someday:#Mothra never really dies It represents the eternal cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth. And she knows it. ? #GodzillaMovie https://t.co/aGmoC7wPn6

Mothra originally appeared in his own film in 1961. Acting sometimes as an antagonist of Godzilla and sometimes as an ally, his resurrection could take place next year with the upcoming release of the biggest shock of MonsterVerse of the legendary: Godzilla vs Kong. Whether she returns to her original form or that she gets a power boost remains to be determined, but if she tries to argue with Kong, it certainly would seem that she would need the latter.
Mothra has seen his fair share of action in Godzilla: the king of monsters, confronting pterodactyl as kaiju, Rodan, following the emergence of titans. By successfully defeating the giant with a hidden stinger, Mothra has managed to bring Godzilla to life in many ways. Following his death, Godzilla was able to transform into a new form when his energy burned red and killed King Ghidorah to seize the crown.

Directed by Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: the king of monsters Millie Bobby Brown stars, Vera Farmiga, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, O. Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, Bradley Whitford and more. The synopsis of Godzilla: The King of Monsters reads: "This new story follows the heroic efforts of the cryptozoological Monarch agency as its members confront a battery of monsters at God's height, including the mighty Godzilla , which clashes with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate enemy, the three-headed king Ghidorah, when these ancient super-species, considered as mere myths, resurrect, they all quarrel over supremacy, leaving behind the suspense. the very existence of humanity.
