It's moody and fun, and the chemistry and charisma of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles lit up in a bottle. Even with all this great on-screen, I do not think anyone has expected the series to develop 14 years later.

Every year, during the first seasons, there was tension on the renewal, but that did not stop the series from making big jumps. When the 2007-2008 writer's strike imposed a truncated three season ending with Dean in hell, she probably caused the biggest jump of all: adding angels, The Devil himself and even god. Castiel (Misha Collins) is so much part of the show that it's impossible to imagine it going that long without all that rich history to explore.

But what has undoubtedly kept Supernatural on the air and in the conversation are devoted fans. They are the ones who write fiction novels, follow conventions around the country, make friends and hope through the show and the fandom. The fans do not come to create their own crazy and dysfunctional family; they did a very good job in the world, and that does not change at the moment. Celebrate Supernatural and "the end of the road," Hot Topic teamed with the stars of the series to sell a limited edition jersey, just today, with product will benefit the victims of Hurricane Dorian.

Even if you are not a fan of Supernatural, more than three hundred episodes and fifteen seasons is a feat that you must respect. The Winchesters faced off, tentacle monsters at Paris Hilton and Gandhi. They met Scooby Doo and Snooki. They visited other worlds, including this one, and once, Dean even killed Hitler. It's strange to be excited about the new season, knowing it will be the last, but the legacy of the series and the band will probably be as hard to kill as the Winchesters.

Supernatural returns for his fifteenth and last season on Thursday, October 10 at 20h on the CW.
