The tweet came in response to an employee who posted a photo, obtained by CNN affiliate WIBW, of a factory in Topeka, Kansas, Goodyear that showed a slide during training indicating that “Black Lives Matter” and LBGT pride clothes were “acceptable” and “Blue Lives Matter”, “All Lives Matter”, “MAGA Attire” and other political documents were “unacceptable”.
Goodyear posted a
declaration following the president’s tweet stating that “the visual in question was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate”, but that he asks his associates to “refrain from expressing in the workplace a political campaign for any candidate or political party, as well as similar forms of non-racial justice and fairness advocacy. “
The company also said it “has always fully supported both equality and law enforcement and will continue to do so.”
Trump’s tweet may also signal an appeal to voters in a key battlefield state: The tire maker is based in Akron, Ohio.
Coincidentally, the President’s custom limo, known as the “Beast,” has custom Goodyear tires. Goodyear said in a 2009 statement that it was “the exclusive Presidential Limousine tire and the standard US Secret Service tire.”
Trump, who spoke out against political correctness in his 2016 campaign, is campaigning this year as a warrior against what he says is a left-wing “cancellation culture” that seeks to punish or ban people for allegedly wrongdoing.

Trump’s Goodyear tweet is far from the first time he’s called for the boycott, cancellation and termination of people and a wide variety of products and entities.
