Starting in July, Google will remove the ability to sync Google Photos with any of its other key services. This will not affect everyone, but for users of this feature, the problem will be major.
Currently, users have the ability to make their Photos album visible in Google Drive, allowing easy access to uploaded images and videos in a more traditional file management application. However, Google finds this confusing. Thus, from next month, this rocker disappears completely for the new photos.
At the other end, it also meant that all the photos you had in Google Drive would be visible and accessible in Google Photos. This link breaks in both directions. Therefore, if you use Photos and Reader in any of these situations, it disappears.
Fortunately, this only applies to new files downloaded through the services. Everything you have linked will always be visible, but new things uploaded to one or the other service will not be synchronized. You can still use Google's backup and sync tools to manage things individually, but it will take a little more work than usual.
To make things easier, Google Photos will feature a new button for quick download directly from Google Drive. However, this will be a manual operation whenever you want to sync photos.
