Google announces biggest Android Auto extension ever

[ad_1]

But although Android Auto was becoming a more common feature while driving, there was one major flaw: the app was only available in a limited number of countries, at least officially, so users couldn’t get it. activate in their car regardless of the Android device. they used.

That problem is finally fixed this week, as Google announced Android Auto’s biggest expansion to date, with the company bringing the app to no less than 36 new countries.

In other words, Android Auto is now officially supported in many more regions, including many in Europe including Sweden, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.

In addition, Google says it is also working to develop Android Auto outside of Europe, so users in Angola and Botswana will receive the app in the coming months. Google customers in Thailand and Indonesia are also officially getting Android Auto, according to Google’s announcement.

It should be noted, however, that the 36 countries added to the list will not get Android Auto overnight, as the whole process takes place gradually. So it will take some more time until Android Auto appears in your local store (if you are using an older Android device) or you can activate it on your smartphone if Android 10 or 11 is installed.

In the meantime, virtually anyone can use Android Auto in their car with nothing more than the standalone APK installer that they can find here. Of course, that means they’re doing everything unofficially, so Android Auto support wouldn’t be offered if something went wrong, but hopefully everything would be fine and no assistance needed.
