Google has worked extensively on its news offers over the past year. A redesigned Google News app, launched a year ago, has not been updated since, but the Google Search Desktop News tab has had the same design for ages. This will soon change though, as Google has announced a redesign of the tab.
The Twitter account of the Google News Initiative criticized the redesign earlier in the day, which uses a card-based layout with larger images. It is much easier to analyze than the current design and is more integrated into the mobile application.
Over the next two weeks we will be releasing a redesigned News tab in Desktop Search. The new design highlights the names of publishers and organizes the articles more clearly to help you find the news you need. Check it out ? pic.twitter.com/xa2aZfO4Qd

Google says that the redesign will be launched "in the coming weeks", so if you do not have it already, give it a little time.
