If you delay using a smart speaker and ask what is most effective, a new small study from Loup Ventures suggests that Google Assistant is the best solution for getting the most correct answers. Although Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa all have the same abilities to understand the questions, only Google Assistant has answered more than 90% of the questions correctly.
Loup Ventures has set up a fairly simple study: they asked 800 questions to Google Assistant, Apple's Siri and Alexa from Amazon, and explained their reaction. As for the understanding of the questions, Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa have achieved results similar to 100%, 99.8% and 99.9%, respectively.
However, when it came to answering questions, Google Assistant was able to answer the majority of questions correctly, at 92.9%. In comparison, Apple's Siri only answered correctly at 83.1% and Amazon's Alexa at 79.8%.
Although the numbers are a bit low, the three assistants have seen impressive improvements over last year's results. In 2018, the team found that Google Assistant did not correctly answer 86% of the questions, Siri only 97% and Alexa 61%.
Wolf Ventures explained that it did not include Microsoft's Cortana Assistant in this year's study because of a change in product approach announced by Microsoft earlier this year. The company said in January that it no longer considers Cortana a competitor of Alexa or Google Assistant.
