Google continues the tradition of Android statues with a new twist

The statues at Mountain View are a tradition – even though it has become obsolete in recent years – and this year's statue is a distinct, no-name dessert departure on which to support it. The statue of this year is a 10 with a bugdroid in the zero, with the matte white letters and the Android head a lighter green, newer.

The simple style of the statue may seem boring at first, but the white statue is actually a canvas for all the people who worked on Android 10 to sign their names and be proud of the finished product. I dig, it's like a year book that will be displayed on the Google campus, although I wonder how they will prevent other Googlers (or visitors) from putting their own signatures on it.

The piece was unveiled today on campus from Google View to Google View, with fanfare. I look forward to seeing how signatures will grow as more and more members of the Android developer team take the time to sign.
