Google Duplex now directed to non-Pixel phones and iPhones

[ad_1]

Google Duplex, the Google Assistant extension that calls restaurants and businesses so you can make an appointment or book, begins its planned rollout on non-Pixel phones and iPhones, according to XDA developers.

The feature was introduced on the Google IO 2018 scene before officially making its debut on Pixel phones late last year. Even so, however, it was only available to a limited number of users in four US cities.

Google has since ad they would open the feature to non-Pixel Android and iOS phones in early March and extend its availability to users in 43 states.

Although Duplex phones are not yet known, XDA developers have found that the Duplex feature is available in one of its Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus phones.

How it works?

The feature works like this: Have Google Assistant search for a business or restaurant. He will ask you if he can call on your behalf to make an appointment or make a reservation. After asking for all the important information (party size, time of booking, etc.), Assistant will call you using text to speak with humm and strange human ahhs to simulate speech.

Even at the time of its introduction in May 2018, we had found the AI difficult to deceiveSo we think it's even more refined since.
