Google Fi launches an unlimited plan

Google announced Tuesday the establishment of an unlimited plan for its Fi Mobile Service. The plan includes a Google One membership with 100GB of cloud storage, as well as other benefits, such as support on Google and discounts on the company's products. Android users will be able to save automatically photos, messages and contacts on their device.

The new plan offers an unlimited number of data, calls and texts. Members will also receive free international calls from the United States to 50 countries and territories, as well as unlimited data and text messages from abroad at 200 locations at no additional charge.

Prices start at $ 45 per line per month for four to six lines. The price rises to $ 50 a line for three lines, $ 60 a line for two lines, and $ 70 a line for a line.

Before deploying the unlimited plan, Google Fi, launched in 2015, only offered the Flexible Plan, which allows customers to pay only for the data they use. Google announces the launch of a second package after hearing from customers who wanted an option to pay the same price every month.

With the unlimited plan, Google will reduce speed after consuming 22 GB per person per month. The company claims that this only affects the largest data users, who represent less than 1% of Fi's current customers. The quality of video streaming could also be optimized at 480p.

Google offers customers 50% off a Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL when they buy and activate on Fi. The transaction is valid until 18 September or until stocks are exhausted. There is no contract or activation fee with Fi.
