Google is currently underway for an antitrust order filed in 2018 by the European Union. With the order, he received a nearly $ 5 billion in fines after the tech giant was accused of allegedly using unfair tactics to crush all competing search engines, creating a monopoly in the market. google denies it, with its lawyers saying people really, really like using its search engine and nothing bad was happening.

In court ThursdayGoogle argued that people simply choose to use their search engine because they like it very much. To prove it and have the antitrust order lifted, Google’s legal team pointed out that on Microsoft’s competing search engine Bing, the most searched term is “Google”.

We have submitted evidence showing that by far the most common search query on Bing is Google, ”said a lawyer for Google like reported by Bloomberg.

Google’s legal team went on to explain that “People use Google because they choose to, not because they are forced to. The search giant also pointed out in court that its market share in Europe matches its consumer surveys which show that “ 95% of users prefer Google to compete with search engines.

The only reason Google is in court is due to an antitrust order and a fine issued in 2018 by the European Union. EU lawyers explained why the order was filed in court, listing three main reasons, including: Fcontrol phone manufacturers to pre-install Chome on their phones by refusing to authorize the Google Play Store if they have not done so, by paying network providers and manufacturers to pre-install only the google search app on all their devices and prevent businesses to sell phones or tablets with an alternative Android versions though they or they did not follow these rules.

While Google dominates the search engine market so much that it is being sued for it, the tech giant continues to struggle to find its place in the video game industry. Thisis poorly designed video game streaming service, Stadia, keep hanging on, but has not yet set the world on fire.

Meanwhile, around half of the people who read this blog just remember that Bing exists.
