Google Meet is coming to the big screen

[ad_1]

Before this week’s change, the only way to start a Google meet on your Google Cast-enabled device was to cast your entire screen. Fortunately, this is no longer the case, as Google announced this week that a Cast option is now natively integrated into Google Meet.

This change is aimed directly at teachers and others who organize large-scale meetings through the service.

We recognize that many schools are moving towards distance / distance learning, and we wanted to support this new learning environment for teachers and students. Meet on Chromecast will let you organize or join meetings, allowing you to connect with your classmates, collaborate on projects, and even attend conferences.

Google says this change is rolling out this week, and to find it, update to the latest version of Chrome and make sure your Chromecast device has the latest firmware installed.
