While Google Pay allows you to buy in-store items with your phone, Google Pay Send looks more like Venmo or PayPal. it allows you to send money to other Google users in a few clicks. The latter service was only available in three countries and will soon be reduced to two.

According to an email sent by the company, Google Pay Send will be closed in the UK on September 6, 2019. The service is also known as "Google Pay P2P" in the UK. This leaves the United States and India as the last countries where Pay Send is available. It is worth noting that the mobile application has never worked in the country, just send money via Gmail.

The main reason for this change seems to be that Google's payment services in the United Kingdom will be operated by Google Ireland, instead of Google Payment Limited (based in London), as of September 6. The email sent to UK residents indicates that the regular Paid service will continue to work once the change is made, but it is not clear whether a new Google Ireland P2P service will be made available or not.
