We expect the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro to be fully unveiled soon, October 19 being likely, and Google is clearly stepping up the launch as it has now started to properly advertise the phones on YouTube and TV.
Google Japan released the video, which you can see below, showing the Pixel 6 and saying it’s “coming soon.” The announcement doesn’t really show us anything new, but the fact that Google is advertising the phone suggests that it will land very soon.
The Google Pixel 6 line isn’t just being announced in Japan, as we’ve spotted a similar UK TV ad, although this one is a bit more specific in saying the Pixel 6 is “coming this fall” (this which means anytime by the end of November). It’s a period we’ve heard from Google before, so again, it’s nothing new.

In addition to the official information about the Pixel 6, there is also leaked information, coming from “Panda is bald” on Weibo (a Chinese social network).
They claim that the Google Pixel 6 has a 6.4 inch FHD + AMOLED flat screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 50 MP main camera, 12 MP ultra-wide, 8 MP front, a 4,616 mAh battery, up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.
The Pixel 6 Pro on the other hand apparently has a 6.71-inch curved QHD + AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the same rear cameras as the standard model, but with the addition of a 48 MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, 5,000mAh battery, up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
Additionally, the Tensor chipset that powers both phones is said to have two high-power cores clocked at 2.8 GHz, two cores running at 2.25 GHz, and four power-saving cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, with seemingly similar performance. to those of the Snapdragon 870. It’s a high-end chipset, but not quite the best available for Android phones.
None of the details of this leak are new as everything has already been disclosed, and for the most part, there is no dissenting voice on any of it, so there’s a good chance those details are correct. But we would still take them with a pinch of salt until the phones were official.
Analysis: an ad with nothing to announce
While the Pixel 6 line has yet to be fully announced, Google made the bizarre decision to reveal many aspects of the phones long before the full announcement – hence the reason the above ad contains Full Pixel 6 images.
Meanwhile, the leaks have filled most of the gaps, and while it’s not unusual for large-scale phones to leak before launch, at least with a normal ad, you can’t be sure what you’re getting. heard in advance is right. Here though, a lot of the details come from Google itself, so we don’t expect many surprises on October 19 (or whenever the Pixel 6 range lands).
Perhaps the biggest open question is how much will these phones cost, because although there have been price leaks, they did not refer to prices in the US, UK or UK. Australia. Hopefully Google can resist revealing it a little longer, so there will always be something worth sorting out when the unveiling is done.
