Google Podcasts has had a long way to go to compete with more comprehensive podcast apps, but it has steadily improved in recent times, even gaining support for adding custom RSS feeds. Now Google is bringing the more web version in line with the mobile apps by rearranging the Subscriptions page to show a list of your latest episodes.

On the Google Podcast website, there’s a side-scrolling carousel of your subscribed shows at the top. Below that, the Subscriptions page now displays a list of the latest episodes of the shows you’ve subscribed to, starting with the last one. The time of publication appears with the illustrations, title and description of the episode.

The subscription flow is very similar to what appears in the mobile app.

This change seems to be available to most people now, which is a good thing as it seems like a pretty basic feature that probably should have been there from the start. If you’ve been waiting for the ability to check out the most recent episodes of your podcast subscriptions, you should be able to see them by heading to podcasts.google.com/subscriptions.
