Google has announced that Stadia devices will be available at launch and super limited. In an FAQ on their site, the company announced that the following items can be used:
- Google Pixel 3
- Google Pixel 3 XL
- Google Pixel 3a
- Google Pixel 3a XL
This is disappointing because most phones in the world are just iPhone, Samsung or Huawei devices. You can, however, download the Stadia app on any iOS 11, Android M or later device to make purchases or manage your content.
This is only the tip of the iceberg for the bad news of Stadia, as Google Stadia Pro will be required to play Free to Play titles on their service.
